dc.description.abstract | A series of 1-D coordination polymers with varying Cu(II) bridging nodes were obtained by reactions of various copper salts with ‘extended-reach’ heterocyclic bridging ligands. Five of these have a ‘necklace-type’ topology, but differ in the nature of the Cu(II) linkages, some of which represent rare coordination motifs. In addition, cobalt(II) bromide was employed to generate a ‘necklace-type’ polymer similar to one of the copper(II) polymers. | - |
