dc.description.abstractA family of reconfigurable antennas based on stub-loaded substrate-integrated circuits, including a microstrip patch, a substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity and their variations is presented. The paper summarizes the reconfiguration concept proposed in recent papers and extend its applicability to further substrate-integrated geometries. In addition, the analysis, optimization and results of various reconfigurable antennas are revised with further discussions. The results demonstrate that the stub-loaded configuration provides a simple and effective solution to design reconfigurable antennas, especially in terms of convenient bias network and quasi-analytical the optimization of the desired frequency tuning-range.-
