Abstract: This paper explores business models that can enhance value and innovation in the creative industries and identify which factors are needed to foster innovation. A survey was conducted of managers within cultural and creative industries organisations in Australia and Hong Kong. The results of the survey highlighted key factors that contribute to organisational innovation and those which pose barriers to innovation. From these results a new business model framework is proposed with a focus on organisational culture, idea generation, relationships and collaborations, team work and resource sharing.
