Ernest Sabatier was a Catholic missionary from France. Also, a chapter titled "The inhabitants of the Gilbert Islands" translated from the German book "Hawaii, Ostmikronesien, Samoa" by Augustin Friedrich Krämer. Krämer was a German ethnologist.en
