Abstract: |
A quality assurance model for midwifery was used in Glasgow to develop a midwife-managed care programme for healthy women. The programme goals were to provide continuity of carer, individualized care planning and informed choice, and service specifications were written for each goal. While continuity proved difficult to maintain, the remaining specifications were achieved for most women.
|
