Abstract: | This paper formally obtains the solution of the equations of antiplane inhomogeneous elasticity in terms of an arbitrary analytic function for the case when the shear modulus varies continuously with two Cartesian coordinates. The solution is used to solve a particular boundary value problem involving a crack in an inhomogeneous material. © 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. |
