Abstract: Zygomycosis in patients with persistent neutropenia had been associated with poor outcomes despite aggressive surgical and antifungal therapy. We describe the case of a 10-year-old girl with aplastic anaemia and persistent neutropenia who developed cutaneous and subcutaneous zygomycosis of her right thigh that was successfully treated with extensive surgical debridement, intravenous liposomal amphotericin B, later changed to oral posaconazole for long-term suppressive therapy and granulocyte colony stimulating factor.
