dc.description.abstractThis play preceded "Everyman" on September 16 & 17, 1941. The play was arranged by Tony Riddell. The Cornish Mystery of the Three Maries and the Gardener "belongs to the mediaeval dramatic style called the Mystery or Miracle. It is a dramatisation of the passage in the Gospel of St. John where Mary Magdalene, weeping at the Tomb of Jesus, is met with a vision of angels, and sees a figure by her whom she takes to be the Gardener."en
