Description: | Extent : Movie loop 2-3min; 6 prints on canvas (5x4m) The installation SEQ 2003 answered questions pertaining to the grammatical relationship between rule based art production processes and contingency. It builds on the author’s PhD thesis “A Contingent Sense of Grammar” and explores the visual interplay between still and moving imagery related to a fine art history context associated with Surrealist and minimalist art theory. This work was exhibited in a dedicated room of its own in SPAN Gallery for the Art Show in conjunction with the ACM GRAPHITE 2003 conference, the first international digital media conference of its kind in Australia held at Federation Square, Melbourne, Victoria, 4-14 Feb 2003. |
