Abstract: This work examines the applicability of Model Order Reduction (MORe) algorithms to models that are obtained from a Finite Volume discretization. The Finite-Volume Time-Domain (FVTD) Technique has proven to be a promising tool in the simulation of electromagnetic structures. Being a comparably young technique, however, current implementations still show a lack of efficiency, which becomes particularly pronounced if the method is applied to resonant structures such as filters. With the application of a Model Order Reduction (MORe) Technique significant speedup is expected.
