Eggs were sampled from commercial egg farms in NSW, QLD, VIC, SA and WA. A total of 6300 eggs were analysed on-site for egg weight, albumen height and Haugh Units. In addition, a total of 18,039 eggs were analysed in the laboratory for the full range of egg shell quality and egg internal quality measurements. Data were compared for state of Australia, strain of bird and production system. In general, egg shell quality and egg internal quality were relatively independent of state, strain of bird and egg production system although there was a range of values for all parameters measured.en
