Paper C818-
Strong self-pulsation is inherent in Tm:YAlO 3 lasers, making them difficult to use. The suppression methods reported in literature use an intra-cavity AOM, which is not viable for high power operation. We demonstrate the first reported suppression of such self-pulsing in Tm:YAlO 3 using a feedback loop with current directly injected into the diode. © 2011 IEEE.-
