Abstract: Social organisation of some Western Australian tribes – copied from Report of the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science Melbourne meeting, 1913 Vol. XIV by Mrs D.M.Bates. The Aborigines of W.A. are classified into types according to whether they practice circumcision and/or subincision. Mention is made of totems, class systems and some marriage arrangements such as infant betrothal.
