For a class of T-S fuzzy systems with parametric uncertainties, the guaranteed cost reliable control with the actuator failure is designed based on linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Sufficient condition for the existence of the guaranteed cost reliable state feedback controller is established by using the parallel distributed compensation strategy. And the parametric design approach for the guaranteed cost reliable controller is presented by LMIs. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the design method. © 2012 ICIC International.-
