Title: | Late-orogenic, mantle-derived, bimodal magmatism in the southern Adelaide Foldbelt, South Australia / by Simon P. Turner. |

Abstract: | Late-orogenic magmas are common to many foldbelts, suggesting a causal link between this thermal pulse and the cessation of deformation. An investigation of such a late-orgenic magnetic suite is made in the southern Adelaide Foldbelt. The suite is biomodal with mafic dykes and plutons accompanied by high-silica granites and rhyolites. It is argued that these mafic and felsic intrusives are both thermally and compositionally related. |
