Cell specific, inducible or repressible, expression system

Abstract

The present invention provides methods for establishing inducible or repressible expression of a nucleotide sequence of interest in a cell, genetic constructs suitable for effecting such expression, and cells which exhibit inducible or repressible expression of a nucleotide sequence of interest. Furthermore, the present invention may be applied to multicellular organisms to establish cell-specific and inducible expression, or cell-specific and repressible expression, of a nucleotide sequence of interest in the organism.
